The third annual Flying Start Training Day took place last Friday. All the nurseries were closed for the day so that over 100 staff could meet at Cornwall College for a full days training. Maureen Strong, a published national and international consultant in Nutrition provided the key-note speech on a day focussing on Child Health and Healthy Eating. Staff then had a choice of 18 seminars to attend including Bhangra Dancing as can be seen.
Also an opportunity to practice putting out fires with Firewatch - as Dave Morgan here, the manager at Flying Start Redruth, is ably demonstrating!We had glorious weather and many thanks to Cornwall College for providing such a brilliant venue and an excellent lunch.
